Frodo’s Refuge Cabin

The main concept of Frodo’s Refuge Cabin focuses on the recreation of the picturesque lifestyle of the mountain area in which the buildings are placed. The organic positioning, the natural materials used, the orientation towards the central bakestone,  will successfully imprint the buildings with a specific quality which can only be found within mountain villages.

The space distribution is mainly determined by a list of key priorities as discussed during the design phase. Intimacy becomes the most important element that characterizes the different lodging units and the resort itself. The second relevant characteristic of the space is fluidity and convergence towards a central point,  so as to create a favorable social space for the tourists (barbecue area, festivities area, meeting area).
