Cooper Residence

Cooper Residence is a conceptual proposal for a residential building optimized for compact urban plots, where space efficiency, architectural clarity, and market alignment are essential. The project explores a mid-rise apartment typology that combines contemporary aesthetics with functional living solutions tailored to young professionals, small families, and city residents seeking quality housing in central or transitioning neighborhoods.

The concept is based on the principle of urban living without compromise, offering private outdoor areas, natural light, and strong architectural character within a limited footprint. The building’s vertical structure includes generous glazing, integrated balconies, and a refined mix of materials, such as wood-like cladding and textured finishes.

The design addresses key urban challenges in theory. Functional, efficient unit layouts, natural ventilation strategies, and provisions for shared amenities or ground-floor commercial use. Urban, a street-activating base with a transparent ground level, while maintaining upper-floor privacy. Economic, façade logic that supports repetition and cost efficiency, while allowing for visual variation and identity.

The concept is aligned with common zoning conditions for medium-density plots (approx. P+5/P+6) and can be adapted to different planning constraints and urban contexts. Its corner-site strategy emphasizes dual visibility and market appeal, while preserving compliance with adjacent building relationships and sunlight regulations.
