Thermal Resort
From ancient times until the second half of the nineteenth century, Romanian life was mostly marked by the experience of a rural environment, with over 85% of the population living in the country. The buildings that were built during this period, from modest houses to churches, are the result of a vernacular architecture.
The purpose of this project was to create a space that allows us to forget the anxiety of everyday life, to enjoy experiences and to actively participate in the promotion of traditional ways of life. Thermal Resort combines the power of modern architecture with the perishability of vernacular architecture, thus keeping it alive; gives us a harmony of images from our past, present and future.
