Pestera Wellness & Spa Hotel

Peștera Wellness & Spa Hotel is a hospitality architecture project located in the Bucegi Mountains, Romania, at an altitude of 1,610 meters, within the protected area of the Bucegi Natural Park. The project addresses the integration of a hotel and wellness program into a high-altitude natural context shaped by strict planning regulations, climatic constraints, and year-round operational requirements.

The architectural approach is based on volumetric control, spatial clarity, and functional coherence. The building is conceived as a compact architectural system, where accommodation, restaurant, public areas, and wellness facilities are organized through clear circulation and logical program relationships, supporting continuous use across all seasons.

The project comprises over 5,000 sqm of built area, including 63 rooms and suites, common areas, restaurant spaces, and indoor and outdoor wellness facilities. Architectural decisions regarding structure, materials, proportions, and façade openings were calibrated to meet durability, maintenance, and performance requirements specific to mountain hospitality architecture.

The spa and wellness areas are fully integrated into the architectural structure and spatial sequence of the hotel, contributing directly to the overall functional logic rather than operating as independent amenities. The design prioritizes long-term performance, operational efficiency, and spatial consistency across all program components.

The project reflects an approach to hospitality architecture, spa and wellness design, and mountain hotel development based on controlled architectural systems, clear program organization, and coordinated delivery from concept through execution.
