H Susai | Concept
H Susai is a mountain hospitality concept located in Predeal, Brașov, developed on an extensive alpine site and conceived as a year-round resort destination.
We proposed the architectural concept for H Susai for Hagag Development Europe, exploring a development model adapted to the natural landscape and the specific requirements of a large-scale mountain resort. The proposal was developed to support a low-density strategy, strong landscape integration, and long-term flexibility in use and phasing.
The site covers approximately 147,000 sqm and allows the resort to unfold along natural slopes, opening views toward the surrounding forest and mountain scenery. Instead of a single compact structure, the concept organizes the resort into a series of interconnected volumes, creating a clear balance between shared areas and more private accommodation zones, while reducing visual impact.
The architectural approach is grounded in context and scale. The proposed volumes follow the terrain and rely on a restrained material language, using timber, stone, and green roofs to align the resort with local building traditions and environmental constraints specific to mountain locations.
The proposed program includes hotel rooms, suites, serviced apartments, private villas, spa and wellness areas, restaurants, lounge spaces, and supporting infrastructure, including underground parking. Functions are distributed across the site to support intuitive circulation, operational efficiency, and a comfortable guest experience.
The H Susai concept was developed to support phased implementation and future adaptability, offering Hagag Development Europe a flexible framework for a long-term hospitality investment, while maintaining a controlled architectural footprint and a consistent identity within a sensitive natural setting.
