Infill House

Building in a dense neighborhood, on a narrow site located between two blind walls determined us to open the house towards the street and the backyard, where the pool is located. These restrictions influenced the layout of the interior spaces as the common rooms are grouped close to the street, while the dormitories facing the courtyard benefit of more privacy.

Both facades are transparent in order to allow natural light to brighten the interiors and to make the best of the view to the pool and garden. However, wooden sliding shutters can turn the street fa├žade opaque if the inhabitants wish more intimacy or shade.
