Collective Housing

The specific architecture of collective housing is generally associated with repetitive patterns that translate in terms of volumetry, into monotonous and predictable compositions. The architects of this project show that this type of building can be designed creatively, even when conditioned by structural elements, technical equipment and costs.
Considering the compact shape of the land, the architects used a ratio between negative and positive spaces, alternating between full and empty embrasures, combining different textures and colors, as well as strong cornices that de-fragment the bulkiness of the monolithic block with the help of shadows, lights and colors. Seen from different angles and heights, the building offers surprising perspectives.
